Working on version 1.2

After taking a week off of my day job at lynda.com as well as any coding on Slower Shutter, I’m back at it.

I just enabled the option for you to set if you want a System Sound (specifically, the “calendar” sound) to play or if you want your iOS device to vibrate when the timer ends.

Next up, I’ll be trying to figure out how to keep the timer going while the app is in the background.

Slower Shutter 1.1 Now Available

The Slower Shutter 1.1 update is now available from the App Store. This is a free update and adds:

  • Support for up to 16 stops of neutral density filters
  • The iOS device will now vibrate when the timer is up
  • Tap the round countdown timer to start and stop (and restart) the timer

Slower Shutter v1.1 Coming Soon

I am excited to share that I’ve just uploaded version 1.1 of Slower Shutter to the iTunes App Store!

 New in version 1.1

  • Your iOS device will now vibrate when the timer reaches zero (o)
  • Added support to calculate the correct exposure when adding up to 16 stops of neutral density
  • Improved alert message when trying to set the timer for exposure times less than four seconds
  • You can now tap directly on the countdown timer to start and stop the countdown timer (please note, the Start Timer button has been removed as a result of this new feature)

Here’s a sneak peak of the new interface.

If you’ve already purchased Slower Shutter, you’ll get the update for free and it should happen automatically. I’ve set it up so that as soon as Apple approves the update, it will go live.

If you have a feature request, be sure to let me know!
